I bought a cheap pair of roller blades last summer and Ive hardly used them because they hurt my ankle too much after just a couple minutes. Its wierd because one foot feels fine but the other feels like their is a lot of pressure on my ankle. Could this be defect in the skate or am I doing some wrong, and is there something I can do about it?
Ankle pain with roller blades?
It could be the morphology of your ankle or the way you are striding off that foot, if not the skates themselves. Either way, try placing a piece of foam or other maliable padding (even a sweatband, sponge or portion of a wool sock might work) over the irritated area when lacing up the skate.
If you haven't injured the ankle to the point where it feels tender 24-48 hours after skating, the basic padding should alleviate the discomfort and let you skate pain-free.
Good luck.
Reply:could just be one isn't broken is as well. skate on them for a while, if that doesn't work, take them into a pro shop to get them punched.
Reply:I've come by this problem and have several of friends complain about same thing..
And together we all found out that the reason is stress..
We were all beginners that time and we were always afraid of falling that's why we all felt the pain..cuz we put too much pressure on one foot or two trying to avoid the fall...
Now all of us Do NOT complain of that cuz we are all pretty confident of our skills right now...
Try to get more used to skating and you should be more than fine...
Have Fun..
Reply:it is probably the wrong size, go to a pro shop to get it checked out
