Okay, so the rule is pedestrians on the left of the road, wheels on the right. So what do you do when you roller blade? Roller blades basically make you a pedestrian on wheels. What do you think?
Which side of the road...?
Actually, when you are roller-blading you are NOT considered a pedestrian.
You should follow the behavior you would as a bicyclist.
The link below is for the Inline Skate association, and they adopt the position that "when on skates, you should consider yourself to be subject to the same obligations as a bicyclist or a driver of an automobile."
Reply:Well you are a pestrian no matte what so i would say the left side of the road.
Reply:im assuming you'd be a pedestrian so stay on the left side.
Reply:I think the ped rule applies to roller bladers, but I wouldn't recommend roller blading on anything besides residential roads and sidewalks. When I googled "roller blades blading on roads" all it came up with is news reports of ppl getting hit by cars.
Reply:roller blades are pedestrians
Reply:good question, but I would still consider a roller-blader to be a pedestrian... left side of the road.
Reply:Roller blades are pedestrians, if they were motorised then you'ld need to go on the right as well. Skate boards also would act as pedestrians.

A question about momentum ?
Daniel of mass m1 travels his roller blades with a velocity v1 and joins Mario of mass m2, also on roller blades but who is initally at rest. On joining, they both move together for a distance with a velocity v.
i) write an expression for conservation of momentum in terms of m1,m2, v1 and v.
is this correct : (v1*m1+m2)v ?
A question about momentum ?
Momentum before = Momentum after
(m1*v1) + (m2*0) = (m1+m2)v
(m1*v1) = (m1+m2)v ..........................(1)
I do not know exactly what expression you want, because normally you would have an equation with an = sign in it. I think the following might be what you want:
From equation (1) above
{(m1+m2)v} / (m1*v1) = 1
Or you could write the equation to solve for v, the final velocity
Again from equation (1)
v = m1*v1/ (m1+m2)
Please note: these equations are based on the conservation of momentum law. They do not prove that momentum has been conserved.
Reply:sorry dear, the statement written by u is not correct,
according to conservation principle the equation will be
m1*v1=(m1+m2)v
because initially the second one was at rest so initial momentum=m1*v1
and finally both the bodies get joined and both move with velocity v, so final momentum=(m1+m2)v
Reply:m1v1 + m2v2 = m1v'1 + m2v'2
Note that v2 = 0 and v'1 = v'2 so
m1v1 = v(m1+m2)
v1 =[ v(m1+m2)]/m1

Do they have rollerblades with removable wheels, for going to class?
I was wondering if anybody knew of a store that sells roller blades with a removable wheel base. So that the bottom will snap off and the roller blades will become shoes, so I can skate to class, then snap off the wheels and walk in. That way I will not need to take them off and put on shoes and carry big boots around. Thanks everyone that helps me!!
Do they have rollerblades with removable wheels, for going to class?
Hypnos (http://www.hypnoskates.com/shop/home.php... are the only ones left out there and from the listing on their web site, they are on the way out.
Their only "better than cheap" skate has been discontinued.
Rollerblade and others have tried the detachable idea but the problem is that either the boot stinks for walking or the combination isn't very good for skating.
I have a pair of Mojo skates that I found at a surplus store. They go over your regular shoes. Not as light as the Hypno frame and they stink as skates (no flex in the cuff).
Reply:heelys are similar to what you are asking about.
Reply:go with the hypno skates. I'm getting myself a pair before they go out.
Reply:Yea i was looking for the same thing and i finally found it. its called hypno skates. google it but its kinda expensive

We have a big empty room in the house ...what should i do with it ?
How about some tennis rackets or badminton rackets and a bunch of Nerf balls...you could smack them all around and it shouldn't break anything.
Reply:make a bar and a pool table! (thats what id do games room!)
Reply:Turn it into a workout room
Reply:i need a place to live, me and my little dog. she is house trained.
Reply:You could save up some money and buy pool tables ari hockey fooseball just turn it in to a big game room or u could but some floor pillows and lamps and go in the room when u want to have queit and read or meditate
Reply:use it as a workout room.....
Reply:Exercise room
Reply:I would completely mirror one wall and purchase a few pieces of exercise equipment, as your financial condition allows. A treadmill, a Bowflex, stair-stepper or a video screen with which you can follow along with aerobics instruction. Put a stereo in there, as exercise is always more fun to music.
Reply:Make an art studio.
Reply:If it has beautiful bay windows, turn it into a plant/pet room. Make it a haven for lovely greenery and sweet homeless kitties or birdies. Otherwise, if it isn't full of windows, turn it into the gift wrapping room where you go to wrap all presents and keep all gift wrapping mess. Fun fun!
Reply:Table Tennis. Good exercise, and less danger of damaging walls and windows. Or put down some tarps, get a big kiddie pool and make a mud wrestling pit. Invite over the girls and have fun!
Reply:pool table
Reply:How about turning the room into like your own personal play room where you can have friends over and put like a mini fridge bean bags tv stuff like that.
Reply:Get chains and a ball gag, whips and baby oil.
Make it a nursey
Reply:first, paint some really cool designs on the wall,
buy some bean bags, some black lights and a big tv
then get a nice hookah and put it right in the middle there
smoke up!
...u could even get a hammock or somethin cool like that

You can pick up a ping pong table cheaply at used stores.
put a TV in there with some used furniture and make it a place to hang out and do video games or watch sports.
When I was a kid playing pool was a great way to pass the time indoors. Good luck :o)
Reply:fill it full of balloons...like a thousand of them. that would be sooo cool. beach balls would be fun too

Would like to find out where to get the new roller blade trainers all the kids are wearing at the moment?
I would recommend visiting a sports equipment store. They should either sell roller blade trainers, or be able to tell you where to buy them.

Do any females wear knee high socks when they roller blade ? If so, what color ?
Red or black, to camoflauge the bloodstains from this un-necessarally dangerous pastime.
It looks SOOOO fun till you hurt yourself.
Then you wish you'd never bought those 70$ anklebreakers.
