How to stop on roller blades?
The salesman was a crook.

Salomons are good, they fit my feet the best of the brands, but K2 and Rollerblade are just as good.

Did the salesman tell you that the Salomons were closouts because they have not been selling them in the US for a couple years or anywhere in the world for about a year?

The skates (unless they are agressive or hockey skates) were supposed to come with a brake that can attach to the heel of either skate. Talk to the salesman about getting it.

If they won't give it to you, go to a specialty shop that used to carry Salomon and you should be able to get the brake parts for about $20.

If you don't have any good skate stores nearby, check with www.inlinewarehouse.com or www.skates.com . You may have to email or call them since they have some less common parts that are not necessarily listed on their web sites.
Reply:well, if your skates have a "bump" like thing on the frount you should tip the skat forwards so you can stop, vis versa if the bump is on the back, personly i can't stop using them as i always fall over now i just run into the nerist thing lol wouldnt recomend it
Reply:I can't really remember but I think you're supposed to lean back, on the backs of the skates are little rubber blocks (on the old ones anyway lol) and they slow you down
Reply:You can drag one blade sideways behind the other - thus creating a break.
Reply:Bump into the wall gradually going towards it. LOL thts wat i do- even though mine have a break.
Reply:the right rollerblade should have a brake on it for stopping...
