Roller Skates or Roller Blades?
I learned on roller skates and did more laps in my basement than Bill Elliott did in the whole 1988 season. Last year, I went to a skating rink and learned that they have another name for "roller skates": Quad Skates or just Quads.





To show my family how "hip" I am, I donned a pair of roller blades and hit the rink. I will say, the word "hip" stayed in my mind and was usually preceded by the word "broken" once I left the comfort zone of the side wall.





The inline skates were actually more stable from a forward-backward perspective. A nice feature built in to these is that they actually become even more stable based on the amount of fear you carry with you.

Reply:blades rock!! i've only used roler skates once, but i've always had my own pair of blades. my friends say that i make roller blading look almost as graceful as figure skating.
